Ciara Sweat is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 5 years of experience working in various clinical settings including the local hospitals, addiction rehab centers, prevention centers, school settings, and outpatient behavioral health organizations. She graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a Writing & Rhetoric Minor and a masters in Social Work from Rhode Island College.
As a behavioral health clinician, she works with patients of all ages who live with mental disorders or with patients who are attempting to overcome challenges or adjust behaviors. She helps patients develop the skills and thought patterns they need to overcome unhealthy behaviors. Ciara specializes in depression, anxiety, anger management, personality disorders, and grief therapy. She uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness Therapy, and Client Centered Therapeutic approaches and philosophies.
In her free time, Ciara enjoys spending quality time with her two sons and spouse. She enjoys traveling, reading, and crafting.
